We are a boutique animal health centre bringing clients and patients access to medical and surgical services backed with expertise. From a humble start at Kovan in 2006, this pet clinic in Singapore grew from a basic care veterinary clinic to a comprehensive centre today. We believe that all individuals including animals should be treated with consideration and respect. All patients have access to diagnostic and therapy to help them be healthy and comfortable. Foreen Low

Foreen has unparalleled passion for both business and animals. That prompted her to start-up Animal Practice in 2006. The first non-vet owned clinic locally.

With much hardship, controversies and odds stack up against her in an industry monopolized by vets owned practices, today, it became one of the most successful and longest-standing non-vet owned practice in Singapore.

She ensures that you and your pet-family have a delightful experience during your visit.

She graduated with a Master Degree in Commerce, certified in Canine Physiotherapy and is a Psych-K facilitator. She was featured in Me & My Money, The Sunday Times on 29th March 2020.

Meet Our Team

Dr Ray graduated from University College Dublin. He has a special interest in herbal medicine, with over 10 years of experience. He was the lead veterinary tutor at Integrate CPD from 2010-13. He is a past president of the British Association of Veterinary Herbalists. His interests include herbal management of chronic inflammatory, degenerative conditions and maintaining quality of life in older patients, particularly joint disease.

Dr Ray O Mahony

Senior Veterinary Surgeon

Dr Philippa Spellman graduated from Massey University in New Zealand. With 25 years of experience, her career has taken her on a path through New Zealand, Europe, the Middle East, and currently in Singapore. During this time she has amassed experience in various emergency and critical care veterinary hospitals and also holds a keen interest in both soft tissue and orthopedic surgery.

Dr Philippa Spellman

Senior Veterinary Surgeon

Dr Tay Choon Nghee graduated from the University of Glasgow and subsequently a Masters from Royal Veterinary College, London University. He also attained a Fellowship and Membership at two royal colleges of UK. He has worked his career in the care of health and welfare for animals. At the same time, he was awarded the Public Service Medal (PBM) for dedicated community services.

Dr Tay Choon Nghee

Veterinary Surgeon

Dr. Patrick is an experienced specialist in small animal surgery, graduated from the University of Sydney in first-class honors. During his studies, he received awards in diagnostic imaging and communication. And he worked in the USA for 9 years. During that period he completed 2 years of surgical internship training and a 3 years small animal surgical residency program at a veterinary referral Centre in New York. Dr. Maguire obtained his specialist qualifications with the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. His areas of interest include trauma and reconstructive, orthopedic, soft tissue, and neurosurgery. He has presented research at both US national and international conferences on topics including soft tissue surgery, angular limb deformity, wound healing, and orthopedic radiography. Dr. Maguire maintains memberships with the Veterinary Orthopaedic Society and the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Veterinary Surgical Specialist (Consultant)

Terry has over 12 years of vet nursing experience at Animal Practice. He has a gift & his patient TLC is evident. Patients & clients relax in his presence & doctors are able to get treatments done with minimal stress for the patients. He is currently studying towards an (advanced) online nursing certificate IV. Besides being a true blue family man, he likes to spend time with his family.

Jio Jyn graduated with a diploma in Banking & Finance but have an interest in animals since young. To fulfil her dreams & passion, she decided to join Animal Practice & provide care for the animals. She loves to travel. A proud owner of a dog & 5 cats, she is embarking on her Vet Technician Diploma in a part-time course.

Vanessa currently a veterinary student studying at the University of Queensland and is working hard to achieve her dream as she has always wanted to be a veterinarian since young. She hopes to continually deepen her passion for animals and improve her skills and knowledge to be a good vet in the future. And she has two chubby poodles at home that she adores!

Jie Ning graduated with a Diploma in Veterinary Technology. She has always been very passionate and loving towards all kinds of animals, big or small, and is working towards progression in this field. During her free time, she enjoys playing music and has a keen interest in photography.

Alice graduated with a Diploma in Visual Communication having 7years of experience in Marketing & Design. She has a big heart with a bubbly personality, a tea lover, and an expert. She has loved animals since she was a kid. With her curiosity and adventurous attitude, she decided to join Animal Practice to enhance the skill in animal care.

Helen has over 11 years of experience at Animal Practice. She brings high-level customer care skills to our client reception. She has also developed animal nursing skills and assists with inpatient care when the practice gets busy. She is a helpful, conscientious & level headed individual.
